IMAAGE®, Louisville’s newest landmark building, has just been honored with its 3rd award for architectural design.
2007- Louisville Historical League honored Imaage® with a ‘New Landmark’ award.
2007- The American Institute of Architects awarded Imaage®, the Plastic Surgery Center and Medi-Spa of Dr. Tom Haas the Citation for Excellence in Architectural Design.
Jury comments: “This project demonstrates excellent design follow through from interior to exterior, with consistent themes throughout the building. The architect’s design successfully answers the client’s desire for an image statement and goes beyond to produce an artful expression of plastic surgery. Use of materials and attention to detailing is impressive.”
2006- ABC, (Association of Builders and Contractors) awarded Imaage® with the award of excellence.

Architectural details of Louisville’s newest landmark: The exterior of the 12,000 sq. foot, two-story office building features a combination of soft grey, green and natural zinc panels, frosted glass and green slate tiles. Slate tiles are featured prominently on the elevator tower and on the sweeping radius wall which continues into the interior lobby space. The slate was a material mined in South America, cut in Italy and shipped by boat to America.
The interior features a 25 ft. tall lobby with a sweeping glass, aluminum and wood stair system anchored to a slate tile wall. Several notable elements are located in this reception space, including glass and granite product display shelving and double-sided translucent wall system. Slate, granite and marble tile accent the buildings interior.
“My concern was to create a modern and clean look that combined aesthetic design with functionality. I want the building to communicate a positive and enhancing experience to our patients. Plastic surgery constantly evolves and it is important that everything the patient sees and feels conveys our concern with staying on the cutting edge,” says Dr. Haas. “Imaage® is a state-of-the-art medi-spa and encompasses the full range of modern plastic surgery from skin care through cosmetic surgery and the building helps convey that.”
