Build rapport, identify needs before choosing construction company
Dr. Tom Haas anguished over a construction project for his small business last year.
"There were plenty of nights I woke up in the middle of the night and thought, 'What the hell am I doing?'" Haas said with a laugh.
A plastic surgeon for 14 years, Haas interviewed three construction firms before choosing Brash-Barry General Contractors Inc. to build his 11,000-square-foot office, known as Imaage, on New La Grange Road.
Although pleased with the results, Haas said the construction project was stressful. "It was a struggle," Haas said. "It was a learning experience, and I'm glad I did it. But I'm glad it's over."
