- Q: I have heard seen some recent ads about SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Eye Complex. I am always on the search for an eye cream that delivers the best results overall. Can you tell me about it?
- A: Yes, this is the brand new eye product from SkinCeuticals, also the makers of the famous C + E Ferulic! It was specifically formulated to address puffiness, dark circles, and the crepey, sagging skin in the eye area. The topical treatment offers optical diffusers to improve radiance and reduce the appearance of dark circles; haloxyl and flavagrum to improve lymphatic drainage and reduce puffiness; 4% blueberry extract to interrupt the formation of advanced glycation end-products, and 5% Proxylane to improve the strength and elasticity of the extracellular matrix. - Q: My brown spots on my face seem to be more apparent now that that we are well into summer. Besides using a topical antioxidant like Vitamin C, is there anything that fades brown spots?
- A:IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is excellent at treating photodamaged pigmented lesions and generalized dyschromia. The treatments are used both on and off the face including chest, hands, arms and legs. This effective light-based treatment is usually performed in less than 30 minutes, and a fading of sun spots is recognized after about 2-3 treatments. Utilizing Obagi Blender, a 4% hydroquinone cream that suppresses the production of melanin, works extremely well along with the IPL treatments.
